Built on Local Roots. Backed by Lasting Comfort.
East Hook Heating & Gas Ltd. is a hands-on company built in the field — not behind a desk. Our owner is on-site, on the tools, and working alongside the crew every day. We’re not a one-man show, and we’re not a corporate outfit either — we’re a tight group of young, licensed gas fitters who take real pride in the work we put out.
The company was built on experience earned the hard way. The owner started nearly a decade ago with a background in framing, carpentry, and construction management before transitioning into HVAC on the advice of a friend. After earning a full G2 license in the same year, he learned the trade from the ground up — working alongside seasoned technicians with 20+ years of experience and developing skills through real job site conditions, not classroom theory.
That foundation shaped how we operate today: practical, detail-driven, and accountable to the work. East Hook Heating & Gas Ltd. was built to reflect that mindset — a small shop with high standards, strong expectations, and a commitment to doing the job right every time.
“Local roots, lasting comfort” isn’t just a slogan to us — it’s how we operate every day.
We’re part of the same communities we serve, not a corporate outfit chasing margins or pushing volume. We’re real people doing real work for our neighbours, and we care about building lasting relationships, not just completing jobs. Our clients’ comfort is always the priority, and we take that seriously — we don’t aim for temporary fixes or quick turnarounds that lead to callbacks. We want the job done right the first time, and if something isn’t right, we address it directly and without excuses.
Being a smaller, local company allows us to be responsive, personal, and accountable — whether it’s the middle of winter or the peak of summer. We take pride in being the company our neighbours can rely on, day or night, to deliver comfort that lasts.
Built From the Same Trade, Not the Same Standards.
We came up through the same companies, the same trade schools, and the same grind — and we’ve seen exactly how this industry can operate. We’ve worked alongside the good, and we’ve worked alongside the guys rushing job to job on a “just get it done” model.
The reality is, most homeowners aren’t expected to know what they’re looking at — and they shouldn’t have to. You trust the contractor to do it right. But what looks clean or “finished” isn’t always done properly. We see the details others miss, and more importantly, we point them out. If something isn’t right, we’ll explain it clearly and give you the honest truth about what you’re dealing with.
That’s what East Hook Heating & Gas Ltd. was built on — a higher standard. Pride in the work, real craftsmanship, and doing the job properly the first time. No corner-cutting, no patchwork fixes, no “good enough.” If it costs a little more to do it right, then that’s what it takes.
We’re not the cheapest, and we’re not trying to be. We’re also not here to oversell or push unnecessary upgrades. Our pricing reflects work that’s built to last.
We’ll offer options where it makes sense, but we don’t lower standards to win jobs — because cutting price almost always means cutting quality, and that’s not something we’re willing to do.
Our goal is simple: do the job well enough that you don’t need to call us back. The longer we don’t hear from you, the better — it means everything is working the way it should.
We operate on good faith, and we stand behind our work with labor warranty, accountability, and straightforward service. You’ll get honest recommendations, honest answers, and real feedback — whether that means moving forward with a job or holding off because it’s not worth your money. We’re not here to chase your wallet — we’re here to earn your trust.
We’re also realistic about the work. There will always be challenges in this trade. Systems aren’t perfect, and sometimes issues come up. The difference is, we don’t walk away from problems — we figure them out. If something needs to be corrected, we handle it. No excuses, no runaround.
Our team is fully licensed, with gas certifications ranging from G3 to G1, along with additional training in refrigerant handling (ODP), working at heights, gas systems, and venting. We invest in our skills because that’s what this trade demands — and because it’s what our clients deserve.
At the end of the day, we’re not trying to be the biggest — just one of the most reliable. A company that does things properly, stands behind the work, and treats people the right way.

Most issues aren’t obvious unless you know what to look for. We can inspect your system, point out concerns, and explain what’s right, what’s not, and what actually needs attention. A red tag warning might have been given to you, but everything was working or didn’t look concerning. That’s what we’re here for.
-
Yes. We’ll take the time to look at the job properly and give you a clear, honest assessment — not a rushed number. We will come up with a plan, go over the process with you, explain the expectations & discuss the cost & your budget.
-
Absolutely. A big part of what we do is correcting, resizing, or rebuilding systems that weren’t done properly the first time. Hideous gas lines, poorly installed air conditioners, messy furnace rooms. We specialize in reworks.
-
We do our best to provide options where possible, but every option we offer will still meet proper standards — we don’t cut corners to hit a price. We work within your budget all while giving realistic expectations.
-
Yes. We explain things in plain terms so you know exactly what’s happening, why it’s being done, and what your options are.
-
We work with reliable, proven equipment and will recommend what actually suits your setup — not just what’s most expensive or trendy. Goodman, Payne, Tempstar, KeepRite, York, Coleman, etc.
-
It depends on the job and season, but we do our best to schedule efficiently and keep things moving without rushing the work.
-
Costs can vary depending on the scope of work, system size, and existing setup. We provide honest assessments and clear pricing based on doing the job properly — not cutting corners to hit a lower number. Our goal is to deliver work that lasts, so you don’t pay for the same job twice.

We focus on doing the job right, being honest about what you need, and standing behind the work — even when it’s not the easiest or fastest option. We’re not here to chase your wallet — we’re here to earn your trust.

Look for a contractor who is fully licensed and insured, does work to code, and is willing to explain what they’re doing and why. A reliable gas fitter won’t rush the job, won’t cut corners to save time or money, and will stand behind their work after it’s done. Local experience matters too — working in the same communities means they understand the types of systems, common issues, and standards expected in your area.
